Yes, when you strap a tutu to a dog there is the possibility of it getting dirty or wrinkled. Have no fear though, our simple tutu care guide will help keep your pet’s tutu in good shape.

Caring for your tutu:

To prevent wrinkling, always hang up your tutu when not in use.

Spot clean only. If tutu becomes dirty rinse soiled area under warm water, smooth tulle and hang to dry.

To control static cling, run a dryer sheet over the tutu.

If wrinkling occurs:

In a spray bottle, mix 1/4 capful of fabric softener and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Spray onto tutu and gently smooth with hands. Hang to dry.

Or simply hang it up in the bathroom while you shower and the steam will smooth it out.

A steamer can also do the trick.

If your dog attempts to chew tutu please discontinue use and keep out of dog’s reach to prevent choking or swallowing.

Our tutus are packaged and shipped with care. Your tutu will ship flat and arrive wrinkle-free and ready to wear.

Although there are many out there who would never question something like this, i am one of those who does not regularly dress my dog. But after the many requests we got for pet tutus, i started to realize all the reasons I *would* actually dress my dog.

1. Dog shows
While my mix-breed shelter baby isn’t going to be participating in a show dog any time soon, many dog owners would have reason to dress their furr-baby up for an event like this.

2. Strut Your Mutt and other dog friendly events
A great place to show off your dog’s fashion sense. We also got quite a few requests for matching dog & owner tutus.

3. Pet adoption events
Give out a free tutu with every pet adoption. Could be a fun way to encourage shelter adoptions.

4. Promotional items
Get custom tutus made with your organizations colors and even logos.

5. Photos
Just like babies, we like to have plenty of pictures of our animals. A tutu makes a great photography prop.

6. Holidays
We have tutu designs to fit all holidays and occasions. Halloween, Christmas, and St. Patrick’s day are all great opportunities to throw a tutu on your pooch.

7. Birthdays
Not everyone throws a birthday party for their dog, but if that’s your cup of tea, a tutu is a perfect way to dress up your doggy.

8. Makes a great gift for a dog lover
Not sure what to get the dog lover on your gift list? Dog tutus and accessories make great gifts for holidays and birthdays.

9. Weddings
If your dog is a special part of your life, you may want to include them on your special day. Bridal and wedding theme dog tutus and accessories are a fun way to include your pet in the ceremony, reception or even just the pictures.

The people who brought you My Baby Rocks and Rockstar Tutu are at it again with an exciting new project: My Doggy Rocks. Due to an overwhelming demand for dog sized and themed tutus as well as dog versions of our exceedingly popular designs on our baby and kids clothes, we finally decided to go for it.

So, what is My Doggy Rocks anyway?

This new brand will feature it’s own clothing line of dog, cat and pet tutus, t-shirts, accessories, gifts and apparel featuring our classic punk and rock theme designs featured on My Baby Rocks as well as new pet appropriate designs. There are a lot of cutesy puppy boutiques out there selling over priced and frilly nonsense for your canine babies, but we want to show you that your dog can ROCK and at reasonable prices.

We have perfected the art of clothing and tutu making and have developed processes that allow us to make high quality apparel IN THE USA for prices affordable on any budget. Or dog tutus (and kitty tutus, of course) are the highest quality tutus out there. How do we know? Because we’ve tried the competition. Most are either cheaply made in a factory in china or else hand tied for ridiculous rates, sometimes in the hundreds of dollar range. We will provide the same high quality SEWN tutus we have made and sold for years on our sister sites. We use only the finest materials available (trust us, we’ve tried them all and thrown away our fair share of low quality tulle, elastic, and ribbon. These tutus are made to last with the most durable industrial grade elastic that NEVER rolls or loses it’s stretch. We then use the most resilient tulle, netting or organza fabric. The tutu is then lined with a soft satin waistband for comfort and durability.

What make a dog tutu different from a normal tutu?

First of all, the sizing. We make tutus to fit the tiniest of toy breeds all the way to the extra large dogs. We also leave a gap in the tutu to prevent soiling. Tutus are fastened with industrial quality velcro for easy dressing. The heavy duty elastic and adjustable velcro closure allow for some room in sizing. As far as options go, we can do an tutu in a pet version that we can with baby tutus. All colors, materials, design, etc. Need a custom tutu for a dog show or event? We can do it! Custom orders are available as well as discounts for bulk tutus.

Stay posted for updates on launch dates and new products. The new site should be up and going shortly!
